Why we started
Lockmark was founded on a simple frustration: too many people in Greater Lansing were calling a locksmith at their worst moment and getting a national call centre, a bait price, and a stranger who drilled a lock that never needed drilling.
We are veteran-owned, and the habits carry over — turn up when you said you would, do the job to standard, and give people straight information even when it costs you the upsell. If a repair solves the problem, we will not sell you new hardware.
Every call is answered by a local locksmith who knows the difference between a Capitol Avenue storefront cylinder and a 1940s mortise lock on the Eastside, because we work on both most weeks.
How we work
Fully mobile, fully stocked. Cylinders, deadbolts, strikes, reinforcement, key blanks, and programming equipment ride in the van, which is why the majority of jobs are finished on the first visit rather than booked for a return trip.
We are licensed and insured, we verify ownership or occupancy on every job before a lock is opened, and we accept cash and all major cards with an emailed receipt on the spot.
